Schools
Sturgis is proud to be a part of the Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District (SOCSD). Within the Town of Sturgis is West Elementary School, a public school, which serves children in grades K-5. Children in grades 6-12 have the opportunity to attend public schools in Starkville or private schools in Starkville or other surrounding cities.
Recreation
Sturgis is home to the Diane Jackson Memorial Park. Our park offers a variety of activities from ball fields, a playground, and pavilion to a sound stage and RV park.

The park opens each morning and closes at dark.

Sturgis Community Market
The Sturgis Community Market is hosted the second Saturday each month from May - September.
​
The market offers local produce, vegetables, baked goods and crafts for sale and is located along Main Street/Highway 12.
